Burrough green in Cambridgeshire is a village where I have Ancestors going back over 500 years and who are buried within the graveyard at St Augustine's. The 2010 visit enabled me to enter the church for the first time even though I have been visiting since 2005. It was quite an emotional experience wondering around the inside where my Ancestors including my great grandmother were christened. The font was used for many hundred years and the altar for marriages and funerals.I have Ancestors who were here in the time of Henry VIII and earlier. There are a number of visible graves outside which I tidy and place flowers when I visit which is only about every 2 years at the moment because of the distance from Somerset.I have ancestors all over Cambridgeshire and Suffolk and my research into my Family Tree is now quite extensive going backover 1000 years in some branches with strong links to Normans and vikings e.g William The Conqueror, Richard FitzGilbert de Clare, Judith de Lens, matilda of Huntingdon and many others.
